Born in New York and raised in North Carolina, Deborah now happily lives on the correct coast. Deborah has a life-long love of the arts and began studying the piano at age five and the violin a year later. Pursuing both throughout college, she finished her degree at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro in Violin Performance. She went on to study organ for two years at Meredith College in Raleigh, NC, then received her degree in Fine Art, also from Meredith College.
Deborah has over 20 years of teaching experience both privately and in the school system. In North Carolina, She taught private piano and violin lessons and was the Director of Fine Arts at the Montessori School of Raleigh.
Since living in California, Deborah has continued to teach and perform piano and violin and work as a painter. In addition to her private piano and violin students, Deborah teaches art classes in Lafayette and has her paintings at various galleries in the Bay Area.
